WHO WE ARE

MISSION

Founded in March 6th, 2006, The Lighthouse Charitable Foundations Investment Branch has sought to discern, steward, and multiply investor assets and funds for both meaningful and monetary benefit. LCF believes that through wise yet confident investment consulting, exponential reward is awaiting for those willing to pursue it. From large scale investments, to small home projects, LCF sees every opportunity as an investment opportunity. Let us serve you in reaching permanent and lasting investment solutions, no matter the size.

VISION

LCF seeks to change the way investors view their time, talents, and resources in a way that makes lasting and exponential impacts. LCF seeks to counsel and invest domestically and globally in order to change the landscape of property investing.

WHY A NON PROFIT?

As a Nonprofit, The LCF can utilize its status strategically by:

  • Being structured in a way to receive donor funds easily, while also leveraging the substantial tax benefits we receive within this status to the best of investors interests, and those we serve.
  • “Angel” investment opportunities are more likely due to our tax status.
  • We can have early access to HUD (Housing and Early Development) homes for lower income properties, which are ideal for investment because:
    • Properties are often inexpensive to purchase and maintain.
    • Grants, subsidies, and charity funds are readily available for these properties.
    • Landlord payments are government backed.
  • We can better accomplish our Mission Statement to “seek to change the way investors view their time, talents, and resources in a way that makes lasting and exponential impacts through investing” by helping the underprivileged directly from investments done with us.
    • For instance, according to a 2018 LabCity report, not a single state has enough housing for low-income renters. With this reality, LCF can help to alleviate many of the problems that the needy and poor in our communities face, particularly pertaining to housing.
    • The Kresge Foundation reports that public housing as a platform for social services contributes to the stability of low-income families and give them more opportunities for independence. For nonprofit like us, incorporating social services into our business model can go a long way. By integrating property management and social services for residents, nonprofits can help deter factors like lease violation and promote resident-centered decision-making.
  • Also, properties owned by the LCF directly can be used dynamically for great good. For instance, our Capistrano Beach properties are used to rehabilitate individuals coming out of prison and drug addiction, through job training and placement, along with a faith-based counseling program for wholistic recovery.
